He has written a trilogy, “The Ponies,” the suspense-filled novel, “Readers,” and three collections of stories: “Waiting for The Swimming Lessons Bus and other stories,” “Not So Small A Thing” (finalist, Black Lawrence Press, 2024 Hudson Prize), and “Summerama.”

Co-founder and former owner of S.Timberlake, a mail order company specializing in making Shaker furniture for discerning customers worldwide. He has personally built nearly eight thousand chairs, stools, rocking chairs over the forty-five years at S.Timberlake.
